Welcome to Pausa! We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information. This policy applies to all information collected through our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

We designed Pausa to be a personal wellness companion. We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide and improve your personalized experience.

A. Information You Provide to Us:

  • Onboarding Preferences: During onboarding, we ask for your wellness goals. This includes your anatomical focus areas (e.g., "Neck," "Lower Back"), functional goals (e.g., "Improve Posture," "Reduce Stress"), and contextual preferences (e.g., "Seated / Desk-Friendly"). This information is stored locally on your device and is used solely to create and recommend routines for you.

  • Custom Routines: If you create a custom routine, the name, description, selected exercises, and chosen image are stored locally on your device.

  • Reminder Times: The times you set for your daily reminders are stored locally on your device to schedule notifications.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Session History: When you complete a routine, we create a history entry that is stored locally on your device. This entry includes the name of the routine, the completion timestamp, the duration, and the number of exercises. This data is used to calculate your streaks and Wellness Score.

  • Anonymous Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data about how you interact with the App, such as which features are most popular. This data is not linked to you personally and is used to improve the App's functionality and user experience.

  • Device Information: We may receive basic information from the device, such as the device type and operating system version, to help us troubleshoot bugs and optimize the App. We do not collect unique device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Personalize Your Experience: To generate your "Today's Plan," recommend relevant routines from our library, and tailor the App's content to your goals.

  • Provide Core Features: To save your custom routines, track your session history, calculate your streaks and Wellness Score, and display your progress.

  • Send Reminders: To send you push notifications at the times you have configured, helping you stay consistent with your wellness habit.

  • Improve Our App: To understand which features are most effective, identify areas for improvement, and fix bugs.

3. How We Share Your Information

Your privacy is paramount. Our policy is simple:

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

  • Service Providers: We use Supabase as our backend service provider for storing our library of predefined exercises and categories. Your personal data (like history and custom routines) is not sent to Supabase.

  • Payment Processors: If you subscribe to Pausa Plus, your payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive or store your credit card information.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

4. Data Storage and Security

All your personal and usage data, including your preferences, custom routines, and history, is stored exclusively on your device in a local database. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the App, this data will be permanently removed.

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and Modify Preferences: You can review and change your personalization preferences (from the onboarding quiz) at any time within the App's settings.

  • Manage Custom Routines: You have full control to create, edit, and delete your custom routines.

  • Push Notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings.

  • Data Deletion: You can effectively delete all your data by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.

6. Children's Privacy

Pausa is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
